Solar Rooftop Power Solutions
Solar photovoltaic systems can be used for commercial power plant requirements as well as domestic rooftop applications. The supplied service outline covers commercial power plants and three domestic rooftop configurations: on-grid, off-grid and hybrid.
Solar Photovoltaic Applications
Our Solar PV offering is structured around the requirements shown in the client's service outline, with rooftop solutions forming the core domestic and commercial photovoltaic applications.
Domestic Rooftop Systems
1On-Grid Rooftop
An On-Grid solar power system operates in direct connection with the local utility power grid, making it the most common and cost-effective setup for urban areas. In this configuration, solar panels generate Direct Current (DC) electricity, which a solar inverter converts into Alternating Current (AC) to power household appliances. If the system produces more electricity than the home consumes, the excess energy is automatically routed back into the public grid via a bidirectional net meter, often earning the homeowner credits. However, because it lacks battery storage, the system has a major vulnerability: for safety reasons, it automatically shuts down during a power outage to prevent electricity from feeding back into the lines while utility workers fix the grid.
2Off-Grid Rooftop
An Off-Grid solar power system operates completely independently of the public utility grid, relying heavily on deep-cycle battery storage to ensure continuous power. This configuration is highly popular in remote or rural locations where extending utility lines is physically impossible or financially restrictive. During daylight hours, the solar panels generate electricity to run appliances while a charge controller carefully manages the flow of current to top up the battery bank. When the sun goes down or during prolonged overcast weather, the system pulls its power entirely from these stored batteries through an off-grid inverter. Because there is no grid backup, these systems are typically designed larger to prevent total blackouts and frequently include a backup diesel generator for emergency supply.
3Hybrid Rooftop
A Hybrid solar power system combines the absolute best features of both systems, offering full connection to the utility grid alongside a dedicated battery backup bank. This sophisticated configuration utilizes an intelligent hybrid inverter that dynamically directs power where it is needed most in real time. During normal operations, the system prioritizes powering the home directly from the solar panels, channels any surplus into charging the batteries, and sends any remaining excess back out to the utility grid. If the power grid suffers a blackout, the hybrid system seamlessly disconnects from the grid and activates its battery storage to keep critical household appliances running. This dual capability provides the homeowner with the financial benefits of grid-tied net metering alongside the ultimate energy security of an off-grid setup.
4Commercial Power Plant
Commercial solar power plants are large-scale photovoltaic installations designed to generate substantial electricity for businesses, industries, institutions and utility-scale applications. These systems use multiple solar modules, high-capacity inverters, mounting structures, protection equipment and carefully planned electrical infrastructure to convert solar energy into usable power. A commercial installation can be configured for captive consumption, grid-connected generation or other project-specific requirements. Currently, we are doing well in MNRE Schemes, PM-KUSUM Yojana & have already installed more than 100 MW projects in various states such as Rajasthan, Himachal, Punjab, Haryana & UP.
